Life at the Bay

There is no better way to support your favourite rugby team than to join in on the action. Not only will the 2015 Rugby World Cup come alive at Sugar Bay this October , but we're bringing England to camp too, since it's the host country of the World Cup after all. From English cuisine to meeting the queen (yep, you read right), we'll be doing it all. A variety of activities will be held throughout the week to commemorate the Rugby World Cup and England, including our very own Britain's Got Talent...of course we'll be doing it with a Sugar Bay twist. The final week of holiday camp saw our campers enjoy out of this world Wipe Out challenges. We also celebrated Sugar Bay's 14th Birthday , which only proved that Sugar Bay campers do know how to party in style. Below are some of the week's highlights: Monday The first day of camp was a buzz of excitement, campers spent their days at the beach enjoying beach activities, bonding with their friends, counselors   as well as creating new friendships and memories. The day wouldn't be complete without a delicious picnic later. Campers had a fun evening playing a game of Minute to Wipe Out, and enjoying the Wipe Out obstacle course. Tuesday Day 2 of camp was a frenzy of excitement as campers enjoyed an adventure filled day of beach activities like , kayaking, surfing and SUP (Stand Up Paddle Boarding) . Bounce, Jump, Flip and Flip again! I'm pretty sure you're wondering what I'm talking about right? Well, get ready to say hello to SPACE JUMP; the latest addition to our family of super cool activities. Birthday week is coming up and what's a celebration without the ultimate birthday gift? After 14 years of existence we thought we should take to new heights and spoil ourselves and campers with a massive bungee trampoline. Over and above the zillion free-choice activities, we have added a little something extra. So while you contemplate on the king swing, high ropes or rock climbing; we thought we should give you a push in the right direction when it comes to choosing the bungee trampoline. We said goodbye to our Southdowns College campers last week Friday, after an epic week in the Bay! Just before they left, we caught up with the campers and teachers, and this is what they had to say about their experience at Sugar Bay. We asked our campers these three questions: What were your highlights of camp? What is that one thing you'll miss about camp?   Any lessons, camp taught you?  Robyn Rhodes (11) 1. Wow! December sure dazzled us with an overload of fun! In fact, campers were having so much fun here at Sugar Bay that we extended a few of our 7-day camps into 10-day camps so that campers were able to get an even bigger fun fix. As always, each unique theme added an extra level of excitement to an already jam-packed week. For those of you who weren't able to join us this December, here are the highlights: New Places, Sights & Sounds: The Wonder of Travel Our first holiday camp started off with a trip of epic proportions during our Seven Wonders of the World week. Campers had the chance to visit Italy, China, India and many more as they enjoyed the experience of what these countries had to offer.
