Most summer camps which are located on the coast, are always in search of lifeguards to reinforce water safety and assist campers who are in distress in the water. 
 
Suitable candidates for this position will obviously have to be excellent swimmers. So, if swimming is one of your strengths, it would be wonderful to give this career path a try. Not only does this career provide a great opportunity to earn an income, but also, valuable life skills that would be a great addition to your resume.

Becoming a lifeguard requires intense, yet very beneficial training. First Aid and CPR are incredibly valuable skills to have. These skills are especially beneficial in fatal situations, where they can be applied in order to save lives.

Unlike an office job, being a lifeguard requires you to stay fit in order to perform your duties efficiently. Daily fitness programs such as multiple laps in the pool are customary.
