Summer memories are made in Winter





 At Sugar Bay, the sweetest memories are those wonderful recollections we have of the best moments of our lives. These are often created when we allow ourselves to just BE.

 This seemed to be the motto for these vibey young campers from Thembalisha Preparatory School. Tucked away in the north-eastern corner of the Kingdom of Swaziland in the Lubombo Lowveld, this school is neatly situated on the Royal Swazi Sugar Corporation Estate and a home to the most energetic little people.
Sugar Bay had an awesome taste of Swaziland as we welcomed our Camp buddies on the 26th of May 2015 for their school camp on our sunny Bay. The atmosphere was immediately filled with a cheerful spirit as these energetic Campers went about exploring what was to be their new home for the next 3 days. All geared up with war cries, eager spirits and really cool teachers; these buddies were all set for a wonderful memory-filled camping experience with fun as the center of it all.

 One could tell that unforgettable memories were being created when the learners' faces lit up with excitement as they drew near to our sandy shores. For many this was a first time experience and the sight of the sea coming alive right before their eyes was absolutely spectacular!

 Friends were made, bonds were strengthened and new experiences were created under our Sugar Bay's bright blue sunny skies. With outdoor activities like high roping, rock climbing, kayaking, swimming and loads more, the list of fun this week was ENDLESS! 

 Energy levels were on an all time high as our campers continued to explore everything they could get their hands and feet on with the help of their wonderful counselors and friends.


Thembalisha really gave us their version of the ultimate camping experience, testifying to the truth that summer memories are indeed made in winter! We hope to see these awesome buddies again soon on our camp site.
