D.I.Y Dreamy Donut Pillows
Here at
Sugar Bay we love delicious donuts and everything to do with dunking
and devouring them! In fact,
we are so delirious about donuts that we took our donut addiction to
the next level by showing you how to make your very own D.I.Y Dreamy
Donut Pillows! Without
the issue of sewing them together!
Let's do donuts!
Materials
Needed:
- Metallic Satin Apparel Fabric (In the colour of your favourite donut flavour)
- White/Brown/Any Pastel Coloured Fabric (For your frosting)
- Scraps of Fabric in various colours (For the sprinkles)
- Scissors
- Hot Glue & Glue Gun
- Pillow Stuffing (Foam)
Step 1:
Using
a pencil, hand draw two large circles on the satin fabric. You can
use a large bowl and a smaller one for the centre to trace out the
shape. Cut them out carefully.
Step 2:
Place
the fabric for the frosting on the traced donut fabric and cut into a
shape you desire or into a smaller circle that fits the donut.
Step 3:
Stick
together the two circles along the outer edges on the reverse side
using the hot glue from the glue gun. Flip inside out and hot glue
the frosting circle onto the donut.
Stick
together the inner circle leaving a small opening to stuff the
pillow. Using Satin Fabric allows you to slightly burn the edges with
a lighter to prevent fraying of the fabric.
Step 5:
Stuff
the pillow with foam!
Step 6:
Cut
out thin strips from the scrap fabric to make the sprinkles and glue
onto the finished frosted donut.
Here's a Decorative Donut Design Idea:
To
give your donut an added distinctiveness, bedazzle the sprinkles with
some stick on diamantés!
And there you have it!
A divine donut pillow for sweet donut dreams!
