Let's create Minion Mallows!

Let the Minion Madness Begin!

It's Minions Week at Sugar Bay Holiday Camp so it's time to get your “Gru” on! And we're getting our “Gru” on by showing you how to create these adorable and delicious Despicable Me Minion Mallows!

You will need:

  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 1 slab of white chocolate melted
  • 2 teaspoons of yellow food colouring
  • 1 cup of icing sugar
  • 3 blue fruit-roll-ups
  • 5 teaspoons black food colouring
  • Icing gun/piping bag
  • 24 white Mentos sweets
  • 12 sosatie sticks
Directions:

1. Melt white chocolate in a bowl over boiling water.
2. Add yellow food colouring to white chocolate and mix well.
3. Stick Marshmallow into pointed side of sosatie stick.
4. Dip the Marsh mallow into the yellow melted chocolate and allow to cool in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
5. Slice blue fruit roll-ups into 2 centimeter strips. Press strip around the bottom portion of the marshmallow to create blue overalls for your minions.
6. In another bowl, prepare the icing sugar and colour it until it turns completely black.
7. With an icing gun or icing piping bag, draw a big, black circle (or two smaller black circles) onto each marshmallow. Press the white Mentos candies (or two candies) into the icing.
8. Pipe a thin, black line from one side of the eyeball, around the back of the marshmallow, until it touches the other side of the eyeballs to create goggle lines.
9. Pipe black pupils onto your Mentos eyeballs.
10. Refrigerate and allow icing to harden completely for 20 minutes

Here's a Marvelous Minion Idea:

Pop your Minion Mallows over chocolate brownies or cupcakes and make them Marvelous Minion Mallows!

Then go bananas while eating your minion mallows!
