5 Fun Facts - Ghostbusters

It's Ghosbusters week at Sugar Bay, and things have gotten Spooky on our Sugar Bay shores.

Our camp was transformed into the Ghostbusters Headquarters and our campers all geared up and ready to go ghost-busting.

Now, we are all aware that the new Ghostbusters motion picture has arrived and ushered in a new era of paranormal pest control!

In celebration of the paranormal comedy that inspired this themed holiday camp, we've decided to share a few facts about the all new Ghostbusters movie.

Here are 5 Fun Facts about the all new Ghostbusters: 
 
Fact #1: It's NOT Ghostbusters 3 

A third Ghostbusters film was long in development until script issues came about and the death of a significant character in 2014. This led the project to being stuck in development. This new Ghostbusters movie isn't Ghostbusters 3.

Fact #2: It's a Reboot 

Although the new Ghostbusters follows a lot of the same beats of the original film, it is indeed a reboot. This is so as the roles are gender-swapped, although many of the same personality types for the team of the main characters remain.

Fact #3: The Original Ghostbusters Cast make Special Appearances

Many familiar faces from the original Ghostbusters movie make their appearance, several in fact, including Murray, Hudson and Akyroyd. However, they won't be appearing as their original characters.

Fact #4: Slimer & the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man are Back! 

The first ghost who the original team caught in the 1984 film is back. Yes, Slimer is back and is disgusting as ever in the Ghostbusters reboot. And… so is the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man! Trailers have revealed Stay Puft will cause havoc once again in a scene during which New York City is being flooded with ghosts.

Fact #5: A Main Character Will Get Possessed 

 
It happened in the original film, and it looks like it will happen again. Yes, one of the main characters will be possessed by the ghosts and turn evil. Only, this time with the very handsome Chris Hemsworth's character.
