10 Facts about Superheroes you didn’t know

At Sugar Bay we love Superheroes and Villains! The good and the bad compliment each other in such an extraordinary way. Marvel and DC Superheroes and Villains are totally what inspired this theme.

Besides being good and bad or just superbly rad... there's a lot more to these Superheroes and Villains than what meets the eye.

Here are some facts you didn't know about Marvel and DC's Superheroes and Villains:

Fact #1:
 
Before the X-Men comic books, Wolverine was originally an enemy of the Hulk. 
 
Fact #2:
After the Vietnam War and Watergate Scandal, Captain America became so disillusioned with the US government that he became “The Nomad.” 
 
Fact #3:
 
In a 1981 special, Batman took out the Hulk by tossing a knock-out gas grenade at Hulk’s head, and then kicked him in the solar plexus, forcing the Hulk to breath in the gas. Hulk went down quick. 
 
Fact #4:
 
Iron Man was created by Stan Lee as a challenge to create a hero no one should like and force people to like him. 
 
Fact #5:
 
Forget-Me-Not is a character in the X-men comics who has been on the team for years. However, due to the nature of his powers, he went unnoticed by his peers and remained absent from official rosters. 
 
Fact #6:
 
Many of Marvel’s notable superheroes and villains are of Irish descent including, Captain America, Beast, Ice man, an incarnation of Ant-Man, Daredevil, Bullseye and Dum Dum Dugan. 
 
Fact #7:
 
When Stan Lee and Jack Kirby were creating villains for the Marvel Comic Books they turned to the Bible. Out of that inspiration came Galactus (God) and Silver Surfer (Satan). 
 
Fact #8:
 
Marvel created a superhero named Throg. He is a frog that has the power of Thor and is in a group called the Pet Avengers.

Fact #9:
 
Mr. Immortal is a superhero who exists in the Marvel universe with no special powers except immortality. 
 
Fact #10:
 
There is an issue called The Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe, where he kills every single Marvel superhero and villain, including himself. 
 
With this kind of Superhero knowledge, we can all certainly call ourselves superheroes!
