Get to know – Lollipop

 


















“Surf's up”, he said before he hit the beach in his speedos and shorts.

He's Sugar Bay's very own surfing PC (Pro Counselor), sweet as sugar with a sherbet centered pop... Yes guys it's non other than Lollipop! 

 

Lollipop or Lolli as they call him, has been a Sugar Bay counselor for almost 2 years now. He's a sporty dude who enjoys beach bread, wall climb and of course, surfing!

Lollipop's first camp was Becan & All Sorts week, this was also his most memorable camp.We're guessing this is where he got his ridiculously sweet camp name from. 

  

Lollipop's favourite part of camp is when the sun sets. And where he'd be if he wasn't chatting to us for this interview... The beach of course! 
 
When asked to describe himself in 3 words, Lollipop's answers were “Fun, determined and adventurous”. We're certain this is exactly how all wall climbing and beach bread-making surfers describe themselves. LOL! 

 
 
When speaking to Lolli, he said that he knows the kids would love to be in his company because he grows strong bonds with all the campers, makes them feel comfortable and creates great friendships with each and every one of them.


Lollipop says the best part of his job would definitely be watching a child stand up for his/her first wave. “That's the best part” he added, as his blue eyes lit up.
Lolli, just like our other counselors has also experienced some embarrassing moments at camp, but the award goes to when he was showing a camper how to stand up on an SUP without falling and he immediately fell off-Great example Lollipop! Great example!
